According to their latest blog entry, the updated BitTorrent client Vuze will now automatically convert any downloaded videos to the formats necessary for playback on iPhones, iPods, Apple TVs, PS3s and Xbox 360s.
Says the blog entry:
“Another key pain-point has traditionally been cumbersome transport between devices. Beyond the format maze, its been difficult to get videos easily exported to devices - especially game consoles. The Vuze team spent considerable time thinking through how to simplify this experience. Simply drag-and-drop files to the device of your choice within Vuze, and then click play on your Xbox 360, Playstation 3, or Apple devices.”
Vuze says to use the new service, simply download the latest version, 4.2, and enable Devices in the sidebar. From that point, “drag-and-drop videos from your Vuze Library (or desktop) to the device of your choice. Vuze will detect whether or not the video format will playback on the device you select, convert the file, if necessary, and make it available for playback on the device. All you have to do is sit-back and play your HD content on whatever screen you want.”

According to a flooding of posts over at xbox-scene, it appears that the cooler-running Jasper-based Xbox 360 consoles have begun arriving in stores featuring the highly anticipated 65nm GPU which should significantly reduce RROD failures.
A quick way to note if your new console is indeed a Jasper-based model is to check the power supply. A Jasper will use 12.1A power supplies, while all current models draw 14.2A.
Looking at the serial number can also give you an indication as it is assumed that any model made on October 23rd 2008 or later is a Jasper model.

Although it is not officially confirmed yet, industry sources have indicated that there are upcoming price cuts coming for all Microsoft Xbox 360 models in Europe.
The rumors suggest that there are “non-disclosure agreements in place with leading retailers” preventing them to reveal the upcoming price drop but that it is coming a week or so ahead of the Easter sales period. The expected price drop is EUR 50 for each available model.
Interestingly, the latest cuts will drop the price of the Arcade Xbox 360 model to a price cheaper than the rival Nintendo Wii. The Wii has dominated the “casual gamer” and family markets since its launch but Microsoft has said they hope to have the Arcade model steal some of the Wii’s thunder. A price drop of this magnitude would certainly put some pressure on Nintendo.
