Two weeks ago we reported that the game The Sims 3 by EA had been leaked two weeks early to P2P, and according to new data figures compiled by research firm BigChampagne, the pirated version had been downloaded over 180,000 times in just four days.
2008’s most pirated game, EA’s blockbuster Spore, saw 500,000 downloads in its first 10 days, so Sims 3 is on pace to beat that.
EA is saying however that the pirated version is not the final release.
“The pirated version is a buggy, pre-final build of the game,” EA’s Holly Rockwood said. “It’s not the full game. Half the world - an entire city - is missing from the pirated copy.”

According to new research data from Net Applications , Mozilla’s Firefox browser has finally surpassed the 20 percent market share milestone and seems to be taking market share from leader Internet Explorer at a growing pace.
Since the last time the research firm gathered data, Firefox moved up from 19.97 percent to 20.78 percent. Because it is taking away market share mainly from Internet Explorer, the unstable browser has now fallen to under 70 percent market share for the first since 1998. At its peak in 2003, Internet Explorer controlled 95 percent of the browser market.
Apple’s Safari browser jumped up a percent as well to 7.13 percent and Google’s new, but buggy, Chrome browser jumped to 0.83 percent.

According to EngadgetHD, the latest version of the popular WinDVD 9 Plus Blu-ray (it actually supports HD DVD as well) has finally updated support for the latest audio codecs Blu-ray has available, namely TrueHD and DTS-HD.
Also improved in the update is support for BonusView and the HD video camera Codec, AVCHD.
Of course the software is still buggy but a very effective HD video playback software for those who have made the jump to BLu-ray and HD DVD.
