EMI and Apple Corp. (not to be confused with Steve Jobs’ Apple) have jointly the announced the release of a limited edition Beatles Stereo USB Apple which will be available worldwide.
The 30,000 USB flash drives will include the “critically acclaimed re-mastered audio for The Beatles’ 14 stereo titles, as well as all of the re-mastered CDs’ visual elements, including 13 mini-documentary films about the studio albums, replicated original UK album art, rare photos and expanded liner notes.”
The 16GB drives will include a full Flash user interface and the tracks will be available in FLAC 44.1 Khz 24-bit and 320 Kbps MP3s.
The Apples go on sale December 7th and will cost 200 GPB (about $330 USD).

VUDU has announced that they will begin selling HD movies rather than just rent them, becoming the first VOD service to do so.
The agreement was made with notable independent film studios Magnolia Pictures, FirstLook Studios and Kino and VUDU will offer 50 titles in HD beginning this week.
The first title available is the 2008 Best Documentary winner “Man on Wire” followed by FirstLook’s “Transsiberian” and “War, Inc.”
VUDU currently offers 1400 HD movies for rental and you can purchase the 50 titles in either “standard HD” or VUDU’s own HDX format.
Purchased titles can be saved to your VUDU box or stored in the VUDU Vault and sell for $14 USD to $24 USD.

Koch Entertainment Distribution, one of the fastest-growing independent music companies in the U.S, has announced that it will make over 2,600 hours of video available through Apple’s iTunes platform.
The content will include fitness, foreign, horror, documentary, TV, special interest, classics, children’s, anime and independent film genres.
There will be programming available from Koch, Koch Vision, Koch Lorber Films labels, Passport Entertainment, Cinema Epoch, Lifesize Entertainment and more.
VB says the titles now available for download are the music video Hatebreed: Live Dominance, Chop Shop, High Times Presents: The Cannabis Cup, Les Paul: Chasing Sound, Monster Camp, Secrets of Mary Magdalene, the Sundance Channel’s Terminal City and Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers: The Collection Vol. 1.
“Making key titles from our home video library available on iTunes helps position Koch as the premier independent aggregator in the digital distribution space with the broadest distribution network of any independent,” noted Michael Rosenberg, president of Koch Entertainment Distribution.
