Eric Lempel, Sony’s Director of PlayStation Network Operations, has posted on the official PlayStation 3 blog that the upcoming PS3 firmware update, version 2.53 will bring improvements to the Flash Player via the internet browser.
From the blog:
“Hi everyone, in the next PS3 firmware update (v2.53), coming soon, we’re improving the way the Flash Player works with the internet browser. In addition to being able to access more sites using Flash, you’ll be able to enjoy:
* Full-screen mode playability
* Live movie (using RTMP format) playability
Now it’s going to be even easier to enjoy web content on your PS3, in full-screen!”
Although that is the most notable update, gamesareevil says this is the full update list:
Users
* You now have an option to set the PS3 to turn off automatically after a background download or installation of content. This option is available when you turn off the system while content is being downloaded or installed.

At the Adobe MAX developer’s conference yesterday, Adobe showed off their latest Flash player, one that works on both Windows Mobile phones as well as the new Android-based phone, the T-Mobile G1.
“We are excited to be working alongside Adobe to bring Flash technology to Android,” said Andy Rubin, director of mobile platforms at Google. “Adobe Flash is crucial to a rich Internet and content experience on mobile devices and we are thrilled that Google will be one of the first companies along with the Open Handset Alliance to bring Flash technology to the smartphone market.”
Notably absent from the presentation was the popular Apple smartphone, the iPhone. Although Adobe has said they have a Flash player that will work on the iPhone OS, Apple’s strict TOS will not allow it into the App Store. I mean, why would Apple let consumers play free Flash based games or watch movies from sites like Hulu when they can instead be locked into iTunes, the App Store and other Apple run platforms?
Adobe notes that 98 percent of computers have Flash installed, and it is becoming crucial to have it to enjoy the Internet. That is of course, unless you own an iPhone.

How can i download YouTube Videos to my system?
Everybody have this question. YouTube uses flash player for playing video files.
The advantage of flash player is , most of the web browsers now support swf files. The format of the video is FLV. So if you download the video from youtube , you only get the flv format of the video. So you need flv player in your system. Windows Media Player’s Latest version supports flv file format .But it is impossible to download the flv file directly from the youtube site. If you take “view source” you cant see any flv files or any “save target as link” there. There are a lot of websites and web tools to download flv files from youtube video url. But these all are not working now, since youtube have changed there default website structure and implemention of the flv player. So these above sites will give you a result “Invalid URL Entry”.
Here the ultimate and simple way to download any video or audio which is playing from your browser (not only youtube videos) can be downloaded using “Firebug”, Mozilla’s Plugin.Download YouTube Videos
Steps for downloading flv video are:
1) Take the YouTube Video in your mozilla browser
2) Today i can see a get_video link, it may not be same as the youtube all the time. If you + (expand) that, You can see the header part of that file,
saying :Content Type: video/flv
3) From the All/Net tab you can see all the downloading contents. From that find which url is downloading an flv file.
4) Right Click on that link and click copy location. This is the url for your flv file. Download using browser or any download manager like flashget etc.
