A couple of days ago we reported that iPad manufacturer Foxconn was having an “unspecified production problem,” and there might be shortages of the tablet in March.
The report came from an investor note by Canaccord Adams analyst Peter Misek, who said Apple was hoping to ship 1 million, but might only have 300,000 available by launch in late March. Misek even said launch could be pushed back until mid-April, until 1 million units were available.
Today, Taiwanese component makers have denied those rumors, saying their supplies are on schedule.
“Our supplies are on schedule and Foxconn should be able to ship 600,000-700,000 iPads in March and one million units in April,” reads the Digitimes report.
They also do not expect Apple to delay the launch.

According to the Taiwanese website UDN, and translated originally by Engadget, it appears the upcoming rumored PS3 Slim will be ready to ship by the end of July.
The report says the companies Foxconn and Pegatron are already working on the new model and will have the system built and ready to ship by the end of the month.
Last week, Arstechnica revealed they had information on an upcoming PS3 price cut set for August which would come alongside the launch of the PS3 Slim.
The PS3 Slim, if true, would only be marginally different than the current PS3, however sporting a much thinner body.

Dell is reportedly making a comeback to the handheld device market and could be teaming up with large manufacturer Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) to develop Windows Mobile-based handheld devices.
The company, which ended it Axim handheld line 2 years ago, has been reorganizing for a comeback since early 2007 with the hiring of Ron Garriques, a former executive vice president at Motorola in charge of its Cell phone division.
Apparently, Dell has accelerated its reorganization since “Acer’s recent announcement of acquiring Taiwan-based smartphone maker E-Ten Information Systems.”
The sources have also added that Foxconn is “recruiting talent from other Taiwan-based handset makers in preparation for accepting orders from Dell.”
