The Motorola Xoom tablet has won the Cnet CES 2011 Best in Show award today, beating out a plethora of other tablets, smartphones, HDTVs and more.
Motorola’s powerful tablet will ship with a 10.1-inch display, 1280×800 resolution, a Nvidia Tegra 2 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB DDR2 RAM, 32GB onboard memory (expendable via SD), a 5MP dual-LED flash standard camera and a 2MP front-side camera for video conferencing.
Furthermore, the tablet has a micro USB 2.0 port, HDMI-pout, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and run on the tablet-optimized Android 3.0 Honeycomb.
Battery life has been rated at 10 hours (peak) for video playback.
Motorola has allegedly already ordered 800,000 units of the device for the Q1 2011.
The 3G-supporting device will launch in February or March while the LTE 4G model will launch in the Q2.

Amazon has begun selling TV episodes for 99 cents a piece, just hours after Apple announced that they would begin offering 99 cent rentals on recently aired shows.
Disney and Fox shows, such as “Glee,” “Lost” and “Bones” are now available via Amazon Video On Demand for 99 cents.
When you purchase the episodes, they are yours to keep. You can download them and they never expire. You can also stream them indefinitely.
Shows from other broadcasters, such as AMC, still cost $1.99, however.
The ability to download is only available on Windows PCs and TiVO HD boxes, but you can stream the shows on Macs, HDTVs, Roku boxes and more.

The long awaited Netflix Watch Instantly client for the iPhone and iPod Touch has finally arrived.
Netflix announced the availability of their free iPhone app in the iTunes App Store today. It requires iOS 3.13 or later.
The Watch Instantly service already allowed Netflix subscribers to stream video directly to devices including computers, Blu-ray players, HDTVs & game consoles. An iPad app has also been available since April of this year when the device launched.
A client for Android devices is also in development.
“We’re excited that our members can now carry Netflix around in their pockets and instantly watch movies and TV shows streamed from Netflix right to their iPhone or iPod touch” said Netflix founder and CEO Reed Hastings.
