In Google’s latest note on Android release figures, it appears that 2.3 Gingerbread is still not seeing any distribution, with the operating system being seen on only 4 percent of all Android devices.
The 4 percent is a slow but gradual growth from the 1.7 percent share it held in March, although many current devices do not even have a timeframe for receiving 2.3.
Android 2.2 Froyo kept increasing its share, this time to 66 percent.
Google’s tablet-centric Android 3.0 Honeycomb is only on 0.3 percent of all devices, showing widespread lack of adoption for the Xoom. At .3 percent share, it would imply that only 150,000-200,000 Xoom units have been sold since launch.

Droid Life has posted a leaked ad from Staples which shows the Wi-Fi-only model of the Motorola Xoom coming on March 27th.
The tablet will have a retail price of $600.
At the leaked price, the Xoom will sell for $100 more than the cheapest iPad 2, which has half the onboard storage at 16GB.
The launch of the Wi-Fi model is most notable as buyers will not be locked down into an expensive Verizon contract if they want to try out the Honeycomb tablet.
March 27th has not been confirmed by Motorola, or anyone else.

Warner Home Video has announced the launch of an online manufacturing-on-demand DVD program that will allow consumers to choose titles from Warner’s classic film library and have it shipped to them directly. There is also an option to download the film immediately.
Under the banner name “Warner Archive Collection,” and located at www.warnerarchive.com, consumers can browse or movies and order them for $19.95 USD per DVD or $15 USD for the digital download.
The DVDs are then replicated, packaged in an Amaray case, given custom artwork, shrink-wrapped and finally sent out to the end user.
There are currently 150 titles available and HMM says a few of the notable movies are “Oscar nominee Sunrise at Campobello with Ralph Bellamy, The Citadel starring Rex Harrison, Mr. Lucky with Cary Grant and Charles Bickford, Possessed starring Clark Gable and Joan Crawford, Once Upon a Honeymoon with Grant and Ginger Rogers, and All Fall Down starring Warren Beatty and Eva Marie Saint.”
Each film has been digitally remastered and Warner notes that upcoming content will included Warner Bros’ extremely popular animation collection.
