The most popular BitTorrent client, uTorrent has moved onto version 2.0, albeit in beta form for the time being, and promises tons of updates and changes.

According to a new study performed by Futuresource Consulting, 8 percent of consumers from the UK, France, Germany, and the US admitted to downloading video content such as movies by unauthorized means, usually from file sharing sites and networks.
The study, entitled ‘Living With Digital: Consumer Insights into Entertainment Consumption’, “used a representative sample in each country and provided respondents with a list of legal and illegitimate download sites from which to select.”
France topped the list, with 25 percent of survey takers admitting they pirated video content. The survey took about 625 consumers from each nation.

According to the manual for JVC’s first Blu-ray player to hit the United States, the XV-PB1 supports the Matroska (MKV) multimedia container. It’s manual states it supports MPEG-4/AVC content up to 1080p (from file on USB, or streamed), making the MKV container support even better. MKV is a very flexible multimedia container format that is used widely for High-definition content.
This might push the player slightly up the list of Blu-ray players currently available, even though it has been largely ignored since its unveiling at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) earlier this year. It supports BD-Live and network streaming from PCs, and reportedly has a very fast booting time.
