Citing “tremendous customer response”, SlySoft has announced they will be extending their current promotional period until January 11th, giving potential buyers another 10 days to figure out if they want free lifetime updates of the popular programs.
“Based on tremendous customer response SlySoft management has decided to extend both the current 20% promotion and lifetime free updates until Sunday, January 11 2009 to give everybody a chance to sneak a peak at 2009 prices and subscription fees for better comparison.
As of January 11th, 2009, Slysoft will change its update policy from free lifetime updates to an annual subscription fee. All license purchases made before January 11th, 2009 will not be affected by this change; as promised, all licenses purchased before 2009 will still be honoured under Slysoft’s free lifetime update policy.
SlySoft announces this step in advance in order to provide its customers with the choice between the old and new licensing model. Buyers who act quickly can get an additional discount with the current ongoing special promotion.
Until January 11 2009 Slysoft offers a 20% discount on all software products–except upgrades. If you are entertaining the thought of purchasing one of Slysoft’s products, now is the right time to act!”
If you have been planning to buy AnyDVD, AnyDVD HD, CloneDVD or any other of their products, now is the perfect time to do so, especially considering BD+ has once again been defeated by SlySoft.
Result for: perfect time
SlySoft informed us earlier that they’ll change their upgrade policy. Currently, if you buy any of SlySoft’s products, you’ll get free updates for your lifetime. To be fair for its current and past customers, this policy wont change for existing customers, but soon new customers will get the updates only for one year, a common policy with software products nowadays.
If you have been planning to buy AnyDVD, AnyDVD HD, CloneDVD or any other of their products, now is the perfect time to do so — they’re also offering 20% discount for all purchases made before December 31st, 2008.
Further details and prices about SlySoft’s products can be found from SlySoft’s website.

If the state of the economy isn’t keeping you from making consumer electronics purchases you may want to find out if there’s a Circuit City closing nearby. On Wednesday the company announced store closing sales at 154 locations.
“Merchandise will be marked down to sell fast. Everything must go,” said Stephen Miller, Principal and Managing Director, Gordon Brothers Group. “The timing couldn’t be better for consumers. We don’t expect this sale to last very long.”
Michael Keefe, President and CEO, Hilco Merchant Resources, said, “This sale comes at a perfect time for everyone to enjoy large savings on many of their holiday gift purchases. Consumers who arrive at the start of the sale will certainly have the best selection of products from which to choose and will find great values on everything in the store.” Both Gordon Brothers and Hilco were brought in to help oversee the store closings.
All sales at the 154 stores being closed are final on items purchased during the store closing event, but normal refund policies will apply to merchandise purchased prior to the sale commencement date. Circuit City gift cards purchased prior to the sale commencement date will be honored, but no gift cards will be sold at the 154 closing stores. Cash and all major credit cards will be accepted but not checks.
You can find a complete listing of the stores being closed at the Hilco Merchant Resources website.
Although many businesses have been hit hard by the economy, Circuit City was already on shaky ground and doesn’t appear to be doing better. Earlier this year Blockbuster considered buying the struggling company, but after they were given access to Circuit City’s books their offer was withdrawn.
