Harmonix has released the demo for the upcoming Rock Band sequel, Green Day: Rock Band and included is a teaser image that seems to imply that the upcoming game will have keyboard support, an all-new instrument for the popular music game series.
Users can download the two-track demo from the XBL Marketplace and play the songs “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” and “Welcome to Paradise.”
The image shows off the four standard icons, (mic, guitar, bass, drums) with the keyboard fifth.
The original game of the series sold over 5 million tracks, and led to a revolution in DLC (downloadable content), selling over 40 million tracks.
Rock Band 2 continued strong sales for the franchise, although reviews were not as great.

Spotify, the popular music streaming service available in Europe, has announced today the launch of two new variations of the service, Spotify Open and Spotify Unlimited.
“Unlimited” gives users “round-the-clock,” ad-free access to Spotify for €5 a month. Unlike the more expensive “Premium” version, you will not be able to move files to your smartphone or play in offline mode at all. You will need to be connected to the Internet at all times to play the tracks.
Premium is £9.99 per month, however.
“Open” is completely free, but also lacks most of the options of the other variations, including some that are even included in Spotify “Free,” which is free but requires an invite to sign up.
Spotify Open lets anyone sign up and receive 20 hours of streaming per month, with no other obligations. You will hear ads, just like in the Free version, however.

Mobile Crunch is reporting today that the popular music video game Rock Band is headed to the iPhone and iPod Touch, including premium content and 4-way multiplayer via Bluetooth.
The confirmation, says the article, comes from the CTIA convention where a kiosk dedicated to mobile Rock Band shows off a splash screen that says Rock Band for iPhone and iPod Touch.
The kiosk only shows the splash screen for about a second so there is little other info available about the upcoming port.
