BGR has revealed some new specs for the Android-based Motorola Devour, Verizon’s third known device running the Google operating system.
Formerly dubbed “Calgary,” the Devour will likely launch in two colorways, black and silver, with the silver casing a new development.
As for the operating system, the new leak seems to confirm that the Devour will run Android 2.1, so far only confirmed for the Nexus One, and will have MOTOBLUR as well, Motorola’s Android user interface which connects social networking, emails and RSS feeds.
The phone will only work on Verizon, having support for Verizon’s own EV-DO mobile broadband network. Wi-fi and Bluetooth are standard as well. The device will include a slider QWERTY keypad, optical trackpad, a 3.2MP camera, 3.5 mm headset jack, a GPS receiver, and a microSD memory card slot.

SanDisk has announced the launch of the Sansa Clip+ MP3 player, which uses a microSD slot for added memory.
The player will work with SanDisk’s slotRadio and slotMusic cards, which are cards purchased from retailers with preloaded music on them. You can of course add your own music to a microSD card and play it back.

The company also says the player is the first Windows 7 certified MP3 player.
The player should be available in multiple colorways, and available at Best Buy on August 31st. 2GB model will sell for $39.99, 4GB will sell for $49.99, and 8GB for $69.99 USD.

After showing off the player in Japan last August and then again at the CES event this January, Panasonic’s Blu-ray/VHS player, the first and probably only in the industry, is headed stateside in April, with a price tag of $399.95 USD.
The company is also launching two other BD-Live Blu-ray players the same day, each of which include Panasonic’s own Viera Cast technology which allows any Web-enabled BD-Live standalone “to access Amazon.com’s Video On Demand, YouTube and Bloomberg, among other services.”
The entry level model, dubbed the DMP-BD60, will sell for $299.95 while its more expensive brother, the DMP-BD80, will retail for $399.95.
The BD/VHS dual player, dubbed the DMP-BD70V, as well as the other two units, will each include SD memory card slots and USB ports to allow playback of photos and video.
“With the expansion of the unique Viera Cast functionality and the introduction of the industry’s first dual VHS/Blu-ray player, Panasonic’s 2009 line cements our position as technology leaders and places Panasonic in the forefront of the Blu-ray arena,” said Richard Simone, director of the entertainment group at Panasonic.
